Meet the Doctors

Dr. Michael Caltabiano is a dentist in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. He is originally from Ambler, PA, but lived in in Cambridge, England at a young age. After moving back to the United States, Dr. Mike moved to Wayne, PA., where he went to The Haverford School his entire school career. After graduating in 2011, Dr. Mike went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where he majored in Anthropology and minored in Corporate Strategy. He spent one year at The University of Pennsylvania to apply to dental school. Dr. Mike attended The University of Louisville’s DMD program in Louisville, KY. After graduating in 2020, Dr. Mike spent a year in Loma Linda, CA, working for the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs, learning how to be a better general dentist.

Dr. Mike started working with Back Mountain Dental and Polit & Costello Dentistry in August 2021. He is excited and eager to learn from his mentors, especially Dr. DeFinnis. Dr. Mike enjoys being a problem solver and doing what he can to help a patient. He looks forward to learning more advanced techniques over the coming years and continuing to hold Back Mountain’s high standard. He looks forward to caring for everyone who comes through the door.
