A dental veneer is a thin layer of material placed over a tooth to either improve its aesthetics or to cover up and further protect it from damage on its surface. Veneers are made to look as real as actual teeth, and its successful placement is highly dependent on the dentist’s skill and the type of material used. At Back Mountain Dental, Dr. James DeFinnis, DMD works with only the best materials found in the industry, providing you with many choices to fit your exact dental requirements.

Micro Dental Veneers

Becden Veneers are one of the most commonly chosen brand of veneers by our patients, largely due to how natural it looks and the high level of functionality and durability it provides. Many of the smiles that Dr. DeFinnis improved using Micro Dental veneers are proudly included in our before and after gallery on the website, so that you can see for yourself how effective Micro Dental veneers can be when applied by our dentist.

Da Vinci Veneers

Often bonded to the front of the teeth to mask discolorations and to brighten teeth, Da Vinci Veneers are popular among patients for being exceptionally thin but still very durable. These ultra-thin shells blend in with real teeth by being able to bond exceptionally well with the tooth they are placed on, providing a high level of aesthetic naturalness not seen with other types of veneers. Da Vinci veneers are also very resistant to permanent staining that be caused by consumption of coffee or tea, as well as cigarette smoking.

Lumineers®

Lumineers® by Cerinate® are porcelain veneers that can be applied to teeth without the need for any grinding or shaving of the tooth structure, making its implementation completely pain free. These “smile-shapers” are as thin as contact lenses but are very durable, and very aesthetically pleasing. It’s a great choice if you want teeth that are permanently white and perfectly aligned. Lumineers are clinically proven to last over 20 years, but can also be reversed if desired as it allows for the natural tooth structure to remain intact. Lumineers® are made of Cerinate® porcelain which can only be acquired from the Cerinate Smile Design Studio. Back Mountain Dental is one of the few practices with a cosmetic dentist in Dallas, PA that is certified to work with Cerinate® and its patented porcelain veneers.
